Toirano
Immersed in the green Ligurian countryside, with the sea only 3 km away and the mountains 15 km, the picturesque town of Toirano, offers the perfect holiday for both lovers of the sea and lovers of the mountains. The old town centre has almost completely preserved intact all the features of a small Medieval town surrounded by walls, with its narrow lanes that could be flooded as defence in the case of enemy attack. At the "Grotte di Toirano" (caves), there are many prehistoric remains that testify to the life of Paleolithic Man and Ursus Spaeleus. The many calcium deposits are famous: the aragonite flowers, the stalactites and stalagmites which offer a unique and fascinating experience to the visitor. The visit lasts about 1 hour 30 minutes.
